One of the Bitesize home schooling hacks talks about a child’s school providing worksheets.     You might want to know that the government’s education hub says that schools are not required to provide any support to parents that have withdrawn their child for Elective home education.

Computing

Computer science vs ITC

You may find ITC GCSE on Bitesize but it seems that Computer science is the up-to-date option for GCSE.    In 2012 the ICT GCSE (information and communications technology) was replaced with the Computer science GCSE.    Along with the name change came a change in the curriculum.

  • Computer Science is more about how computers work, essentially programming.
  • ICT is more about how ICT is used in a business context.
